Masaiti Town Council’s Council Secretary Mr. Mlauzi Robert has applauded Government on the strides made so far in the journey towards effective decentralization and Local Governance.
The Council Secretary who spoke at the orientation Workshop for Zambia Devolution Task Force held in Masaiti District in the Council Chamber yesterday, Thursday, July 17, 2025 observed that unity was crucial to drive development. He implored participants to take particular roles of the task force seriously.
The Government of Zambia introduced decentralization via the devolution of line Ministries to the Councils in order to promote grassroots development, enhanced citizen participation and ensuring equitable distribution of resources hence giving the Task Force in Masaiti District the role to undertake regular sensitization campaigns informing all stakeholders on the progress made regarding decentralization and other related matters.
Active engagement, innovative thinking, and transparency is expected from the Task Force as they together harness expertise to drive meaningful change with the desire to shape Masaiti District’s future through the enhancement of lives in the community.
Let us work together as a district and remain united in our pursuit of development and prosperity.
